rgb values for xyz export seem to be out of range
« on: June 08, 2018, 04:50:18 AM »
I'm trying to export my dense pointcloud in the xyz format using PhotoScan Pro. I go to file -> export -> export points, leave the three fields for shift at 0, select the "point colors" checkbox and not the "point normals" checkbox, then press save.

Here is a sample line from the text file that exports:

58.347009 -36.849740 -107.591264 7294 1888 3012

The first three columns are clearly xyz data, and the last three should be rgb - but they are neither in the 0-1 range nor the 0-255 range. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Alexey,

To the extent that I understand your question - I created my dense point cloud from DNG photographs. Is that what you're asking?

Hello abe,

What is the color depth range for the images used? If they are in DNG format, then the values are in 16-bit range?
