Select mesh by shapes
« on: July 15, 2018, 09:55:00 AM »
Hi Agisoft team,

It would be great to have a function that allows to select mesh triangles by shapes, the same way it is already implemented for dense point clouds (select points by shapes). This would be very useful when someone needs to crop a mesh.

Moreover, it would be nice to have a gradual selection based on 'image overlap' that works for mesh faces as well as the dense point cloud. This would allow one to delete areas such as the edges of a model where the image overlap and the quality of the model/reconstruction is generally lower.

Kind regards,
SAV

Currently if it is necessary to crop the mesh by shapes, it is possible to duplicate the model with "clip by boundary shapes" option enabled, providing that outer or inner boundary are assigned for the polygonal shapes in the project.
