How important is exif data for agisoft?

I'm thinking about buying a new lense, which I would need an adapter for. It looks like the cheap adapters do not transfer the exif data, but besides this it would be all I need.

Is that going to be a problem with agisoft?

It is my understanding that without the EXIF data PhotoScan will assume that your photo is taken with a 50 mm lens, so if you are not using a 50 mm lens than the image could be distorted if there is no EXIF data.
