Photo Alignment Takes too much time

Hello,
I started using Agisoft Photoscan and i stumbled upon a problem with the time it takes to align the photos.
I tried to align 90 Photos which are 16MP Jpegs and it took 50 minutes total which is absurd compared to other solutions around and compared to other people.
Help is Appreciated  . 
My specs are:
Intel i3 6100
8Gb Ram
Gtx 950 2GB

You're using an i3 with 8gb of RAM... and you're complaining about the speed of the SOFTWARE?

That may be fine if you don't have to do it very often.

I make do with i5 2500+ (overclocked), 16GB, onboard graphics!, and have processed 2000 photos in one chunk. Yes it did take a long time, but I only do this once per year.

Something is wrong with your pc.
96 12Mpx photos aligned in 8 minutes with Intel Xeon E5472 3Ghz 8GB DDR2 RAM nVidia GTX 750Ti.
500 photos with the same pc took only 38 minutes.
Go to http://www.userbenchmark.com/ and run their test to see if your pc runs as it should.

Can you send the processing log related to the Align Photos operation (can be copied from the Console pane)?

It took roughly 20 min this time. I attached the log file of the Align Photos console. I dont think its because of the cpu then again i might be wrong.

I think that with the Generic preselection enabled the time spent for the image matching should be reduced.

Thank you very much! It did help to reduce it to just 5 minutes. Does the Generic preselection algorithm reduce quality of the point cloud?

Hello Dan7nm,

Generic preselection uses larger scale features to detect the potentially overlapping pairs first and then match only the selected pairs of images.
