Very bad results on first scan.
« on: August 29, 2018, 12:23:32 AM »
Hello everyone.

I just brought the software and to be honest I am quite frustrated, which for sure, is my own fault, but here we go.

I took a session with a turntable in my own studio using a Cannon 5DSR with a 50mm objective and two continual lights using the turntable method. Masked everything on photoshop and for some reason the best result I got is only half of the item I scanned.

Tried to play a little bit with the align options but best result so far is half of the photos in the front and lower angle, and one foto on the upper angle.

I don't know if the problem is the item being hard to detect, or what, but it's quite frustrating to see results better with a mobile phone or a very bad light settings.

What am I doing wrong? Because I am prety sure is my problem.

I attach pictures with the results on the simple cloud and the photos, in which only takes 23 of the 85 taken.

Help!

You should try to do it by only masking one photo (one without the object in it: see here http://www.agisoft.com/index.php?id=49 ) set your tie piont limit to 10000 instead of the default 4000 and Alignement to High (not Highest).

Cheers
