Dense cloud generation very slow- is it me, my machine, my photos or all combine

HI all,

I am new to Agisoft Photoscan (a and sort of new to photogrammetry -  which I love), I have used other programs before. I have have noticed that sometimes it takes a really long time to create a dense cloud. I am currently working on one project with about 50 photos and and the dense cloud has taken about 5-6 hours to generate. It starts off saying it will take 7 days and then drops down to 7 hrs. Is this normal ? or is it the photos or the machine I am using?

I am currently using an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015),Processor 3.3 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3, Graphics AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB,
