Creating a marble affect
« on: October 05, 2018, 02:35:03 PM »
I'm trying to make a marble bust of a real person's head using photogrammetry. I've managed to create the 3D object in Photoscan and I'm quite limited in my knowledge as to what I can do next (if it's even possible). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to map a marble texture on to the 3D Bust? I don't know if I've explained myself well enough so please let me know if I need to expand.

3d studio max or similar rendering programs has a lots of material and shader alternatives to "apply" on your  scan. But it is couple steps you have to walk.  You can export your scan as stl. Thats a "colorless" surface which you can apply different materials on.  You can try searching for "vray materials" for example and see what type of materials you could apply on a stl file.
