Tree/plant counting

Hi everyone,

Simple question that may have a simple answer - what does everyone use to count crops/trees/plants? Does agisoft photoscan do this? If yes please could you point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

Leonardo

What kind of dataset do you have? images or point cloud? If you want to count crops, neural network based on images will be a good choice. If you want to count trees, tree top detection algorithms are common in many literatures based canopy height model derived from point cloud.

Hi Leonardo,

I have both the images and point cloud data.

I would like to count crops such as maize and tobacco.

And trees such as orange trees and other fruit trees.

Any more information you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks
