tweaking UVs on mesh before generating texture?
« on: February 06, 2013, 05:03:40 AM »
Once a mesh is generated from a set of pictures, is it possible to tweak its UV layout in any way before generating the texture? I'd like to make certain areas larger so they end up having more resolution than others.

If that's not possible, is it possible to export that mesh out of photoScan, tweak its UV layout in another application, and reimport it before computing the texture?

yes you can export the mesh... tweak uv, and then re-import it... once you decide to texture it, select "keep UV " ....
