Automatic point classification of high noise / water
« on: November 06, 2018, 04:44:29 AM »

Been using photoscan since the beginning. I am looking for a way to select points in a dense cloud automatically that are low confidence, or high noise. The closest option I have is the Classify ground points function, however this is quite limited and doesnt achieve the results we need.

There has to be some kind of function that if a point between Z values breaches a certain threshold, or there are too many gaps between the points, it is selected automatically so we can review the selection and remove or add to it then classify.

The gradual selection could help you.
At least you  can automatically select points of low confidence, high reprojection error and other values.

Unfortunately, at the moment there are no gradual selection tools for the dense cloud points. The workaround that exists at the moment is to export the dense cloud to the external application, perform the filtering there and import it back.
